About Shift
Shift operates as a specialised division within Electica, a global programmatic advertising company. The division delivers data and technology solutions for political and advocacy digital campaigning, focused on omnichannel paid digital advertising while prioritising democratic strengthening, polarisation reduction, and misinformation prevention.
Shift bridges technology and policy to protect electoral systems, partnering with governmental and non-profit clients on large-scale projects defending democratic institutions from digital threats.
The role
This position leads major projects and manages relationships with key UK government stakeholders, serving as the interface between senior clients and technical delivery teams while ensuring complex, multi-year initiatives achieve excellence.
Client relationship & project management
- Accountable for one large long-term governmental project plus smaller ad-hoc projects.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, serving as strategic advisor.
- Provide expert guidance throughout all project lifecycle phases.
- Coordinate execution teams to ensure successful, timely, accurately-billed delivery.
- Proactively address client concerns and manage expectations.
- Make final decisions on high-level project issues.
- Set standards for account management and project success across the Shift team.
Internal relationships
- Manage and coach approximately 2 FTE Project Management team members.
- Define and enhance project operations standards, tools, and frameworks.
Must have
- 5+ years project management experience with at least 1 year leading complex projects.
- Proven accountability for delivery and commercial outcomes.
- Effective communication and presentation capabilities in governmental contexts.
- Demonstrated track record managing projects and clients successfully.
- Ability to obtain UK Government security clearance (requires UK, Canadian, New Zealand, US, or Australian nationality).
Nice to have
- Experience leading multi-year governmental projects (internal or vendor roles).
- UK military or civil service background.
- Existing UK Government security clearance.

- Base salary: approximately £65,000 (experience-dependent).
